It's a visit to one of the most unique geological places in the Atlantic Realm area, a monument we need to preserve. Photography can help to preserve it. Come and join me for a day of discovery!

I need to take some pictures of fish in an aquarium, so I went around looking for a place and way to do it. And just to test conditions, I used my Windows Phone to grab some "notes" about what can be done.
Smartphones are taking the place of compact cameras, and I understand why. I used to go round with at least a compact camera in my pocket. Now I have a Windows Phone. It is a good starting point for many photographic adventures.

There's some magic on late afternoon light by the sea. On the Atlantic Coast I visit so often, photographing surfers at the end of the day offers some unique images for one's collection. It's like watching Atlantean survivors emerging from the sea and riding waves on a never ending carousel: once they reach the coast they return to their starting point for another ride.

The palace the composer Richard Strauss points as the Holy Grail Castle, is less than 6 kilometers away from my kitchen's window. My 100-400mm lens gives me a good sharp image of it in a clear night, with the white balance adjusted to show the full colours of the fairy-tale palace.
I will never grow tired of photographing from my west facing windows. The sky gives me a new reason almost each new end of the day. A less than interesting view becomes, then, a colorful landscape.
